Great Northern Birding Tour – 12 Aug 2018
12 August 2018 - 25 August 2018
Following our successful Great Grasswren tour by private plane last year, we’re proud to offer another Air Adventure across the Great Northern wilderness of Australia. Visiting iconic birding destinations such as the Red Centre, Uluru, Mt Isa, the Pilbara, the Kimberley (including Broome), Mitchell Plateau and Kakadu National Park, this once-in-a lifetime tour is bound to boost your species list significantly. We’ll be using our own private chartered aircraft for this trip, while ground excursions will be delivered by local bird guides in 4WD’s. This trip is a real adventure (yet fully accommodated), taking us across the northern Australian continent in late winter, generally a great time to go birding. Expect to see over 200 species, including all northern Grasswrens, Rufous-crowned Emu-wren, Spinifex Pigeon, Chestnut-quilled Rock-pigeon, Kimberley Honeyeater, Buff-sided Robin, Red-headed Honeyeater, rare waders and many, many more.
